Broken, broken, broken. So permanent
seeming - a label for some thingamabob
destined for the bin without further thought of
an attempt to mend our broken, broken, broken remains.
Far easier to replace with tomorrow’s newest and brightest
than chain yourself to yesterday’s broken, broken, broken
relic of no value or use but a paperweight only
half as pretty if cobbled back together.
Call us fractured, damaged, call us cracked
if you must. But never broken, broken, broken, shattered
beyond repair, beyond help, beyond hope
to be anything but broken, broken, broken.
Scattered fragments waiting for willing hands to gather
the shards
Red
burns and bleeding heart
trusted fire and silver tongue
have left only pain
Gold
scars on mend'd armour
proof the world has not killed us
becomes sword and shield
Black and White
binary yes or no
even stars can’t return from
Death’s gentle embrace
Grey
a washed out painting
devoid of all emotion is
not truly living

The rain is falling outside my window
Each droplet furthering my own despair
How I wish I could feel it upon my skin
To have it soak through my hair.
The world is crying tonight
Crying out in grief, anger, fear
Loved ones hold each other close
And whisper words that I shall never hear.

Day Ten: How did your Warden react to being recruited?
What did your Warden know about the Wardens before they were recruited?
All information entering and leaving Kinloch Hold was heavily censored by the Templars. This extended to all books, even those not about magic. As such, Marian knew only that Grey Wardens fought darkspawn, and the basic facts of the four previous Blights.
What was your Warden’s first impression of Duncan? Did their first impression ever change? Why do they think Duncan recruited them?
Marian's first impression of Duncan was that he was a calm and level headed man, if rather serious. She was delighted to have
Day Nine: Describe why your Warden made the choices they made during the Blight.
At first Marian’s decisions were mostly influenced by the people around her. Marian was very insecure, and she hated displeasing people. As such she tried to find the option that made the most people happy. The few exceptions were in the face of blood magic or in the face of something she found unquestionably wrong. Marian also had a strong sense of responsibility and a hope that people could be redeemed. She wanted to give people a second chance.
Over time, as Marian got used to making hard decisions where the only options were bad and worse, she began c
Day Eight: Describe your Warden’s decisions later in the game.
The Alienage
Marian brings Zevran, Leliana, and Daveth while Alistair stays behind with Eamon and Anora to prep for the Landsmeet. They clean through the Tevinter slavers and Marian kills Caladrius without even stopping to negotiate. She speaks with Valendrian about Duncan briefly. Marian shows the Slave Papers to Eamon.
The Landsmeet
Ser Cauthrien meets them at the doors to try and block their entrance, but Marian convinces Ser Cauthrien to allow them entrance. For those who had met Marian at Ostagar, it was a surprise to see Marian again, as Marian had changed so muc
